Dear Home Fair Exhibitor,

Thank you for exhibiting at the 12th Annual PNA Home Design & Remodel Fair on Sunday, February 8th! We look forward to seeing you in a few weeks.  We have a line-up of 80 great participants.

We need your help to get the word out about this event. Please forward the attached flyer to your email list of contacts and clients or print it for display at your place of business.  We will deliver larger posters to you if you have a retail business with walk-in traffic.

The Home Fair takes place in our Blue Building at 6532 Phinney Avenue N.  Please check the attached file to see what room you will be in and to confirm whether we plan to provide a table or electricity for your exhibit.  Let us know right away if you have questions or need to make a change in your table rental order.  The Red and Blue rooms are on the parking lot level; rooms 1, 2, and 3 are on the street level; and rooms 5, 6, and 7 are upstairs (easiest entry from the street).  There is no elevator.

You are encouraged to set up your booth and socialize with other exhibitors on Saturday, February 7th, from 5:30-7:30 pm.  We will provide light refreshments, so you can relax and do a little networking after your space is ready.  Please RSVP to Judith@phinneycenter.org if you plan to be here on Saturday night, so we can be sure and have enough food and beverages on hand.

Doors will open to exhibitors at 8:30 am on Sunday. After unloading your vehicle, please park in the overflow area of the lower parking lot (behind the zig-zag fence).  You will be blocked in until the end of the day.  If this lot is full, please park off-site, in order to leave our parking lots open for fair attendees.

The public will be admitted promptly at 10 am. Please allow adequate time to prepare, and plan to staff your booth until the Home Fair closes at 4 pm.

We will provide water and granola bars for exhibitors and lunches will be available for delivery to your booth.  The 65th Street Preschool Co-op will have order forms for you first thing in the morning.  For $6 or $7 they will provide a lunch of a sandwich or salad, drink, chips, and cookie or brownie, delivered to you around noon.  There will also be a bake sale offering snacks and drinks for sale all day.

Each year we hold a raffle for various door prizes at the event.  Please let us know right away if you would like to donate a small item or gift certificate for services.  We will notify winners after the event and they will contact you directly to claim their prize, so that you will have opportunities to interact with potential clients.  We need to know by January 23 what you are donating, but we DO NOT need anything from you, since we don’t distribute the prizes.

Thanks to those of you who offered to give short talks during the event. The schedule for presentations has now been set, so if you have not heard from us, we were not able to include you this year.  Please visit our website www.phinneycenter.org/events/homefair.shtml to see the line-up.

Special thanks to our presenting sponsors HomeStreet Bank, Jackson Remodeling, Keystone Windows & Doors, KPLU National Public Radio, and co-sponsors George W. Johnson Realtors and Greenwood True Value Hardware.  We previously sent info about advertising opportunities with KPLU in conjunction with the radio spots for this event.  Please contact Sandy Watchie at (206) 922-1040 if you are interested.

In an effort to prepare the Phinney Neighborhood Center to aid the community in the event of a natural disaster or other emergency, we are inviting Home Fair attendees and exhibitors to donate tarps, ¼” rope, space blankets, crank flashlights, cases of chemical light sticks, first aid kits, hammers, saws, or crowbars.  In exchange for the donation of new items for our emergency supply, you will receive a discount coupon for a PNA class and know that you have helped our neighborhood become better prepared!

Feel free to contact us at (206) 783-2244 if you have any questions or concerns.  Check out our website after January 1 to see the schedule of panel discussions, which we are still finalizing.  If you have last-minute difficulties on the day of the event, you may reach Judith on her personal cell phone at (206) 366-5458.  Thanks for your participation; we look forward to seeing you on February 8th !

Sincerely,

Judith Wood                                                 Michael Broili
